Evening at the JVB

A lovely evening out on the base, surrounded by water. Not filtered anymore but still nice. We went to the JVB for a re-enlistment ceremony for one of our soldiers. Who knew it would end up a night of merriment food and dancing.
These two, they were our adult supervision

Specialist Cornejo decided to re-enlist. She has been working as a clinic medic and also goes out with the CSC (convoy security companies) to protect convoys bringing in our supplies or taking them to other FOB's
Like all the medic she has been working hard and this is a special occasion, so why not celebrate a little.

This is the crew, they have helped see almost 2000 patient visits since opening our doors and have made the operation a success.
Thank you one and all!

After the ceremony why not dance. No better back drop on the VBC than the alfa palace. The food was pretty good too.

The palace
After the dance lesson we went on a tour of the Hotel. It was nice to see it again and share it with the crew. I won't bore you again with the pictures. You can look back at another post to see them.
Short but sweet this time, but I have a couple more to get in before we go. Thanks for following along.

Well hello Mike and Crew, We miss you all. Oh, the suprize is hanging somewhere at the Unit at home. Lt. Long took the gift to give all of you to have alittle piece of home from a friend. I can not wait for all of you see your gift went you come home or someone their can take a picture of the gift for all to see.
Oh on Monday March 8, 2010 I went to see Maggie and Dr. Hinz on my yearly check-up on my left knee. X-rays soon the knee is good and the right knee so,so. Dr. Hinz and Brad and Maggie were their with Dr. Hinz this is new to me. Because I didn't before in the past years only had Dr. HInz or you only in the room not Brad and Maggi as well. Plus, I always got to see my x-rays again got to see them. Not this time at all. At first, I didn't think of it but John and Seattle dog and I drove home. I thought about something was wrong of not to be the same before in the years past. Why? I think where thing has change in the health care for the Doctors and P.A.'s and nurses that htier hands are tide with this miss from Insurance Companies and in Washington D.C. as well. I hope and pray that Washington D.C. House and Senators can agree on the Public Option for all Americans. Today, in Vermont is having a Free Health Care Clinic for the Vermont uninsurance folks and with two or more jobs to make ins meat for their family. Mike, I am sorry, that I am going on about the subject on health care and the Public Option for Americans and Vets. and Soldiers, etc.
John and I are very happy to hear from you all. I always enjoy the photos you send all of us on your blog. I love them. Lt. Long told me that you are coming home in April 2010 is this true and does it mean all of you there? I hope and pray that it comes true. We miss all of you at the Marshall Farm and hope that all of you come to visit the farm and us someday soon. Well take care my friends. Lots of hugs and kisses and licks as well. Love, Linda & John & Seattle dog & Lilo Stitch and Lynn Jean the two girl cats.
